Find your space
Browse cafes, bars and clubrooms by city, event type or map. Every listing shows the hours it's genuinely free, usually when the venue is closed to the public.
Send a booking request
Pick a date, start time and hours (or a whole-day date), tell the host what you're planning, and send it in two minutes. The host replies within 24 hours. Once they accept, you get a secure Stripe payment link with a clear deadline; pay the GST-inclusive hire fee and your space is locked in. If the deadline passes, the request is cancelled automatically and nothing is charged. Any bond is never charged: it's a temporary hold placed on your card 24 hours before your booking.
Turn up and enjoy
Show up, host your people, and leave the space as you found it. Your bond hold is released automatically 48 hours after the event if the host hasn't made a claim.
Instant Book
Look for the Instant Book badge. These spaces can be booked and paid for straight away, with no waiting. Your booking is confirmed as soon as you pay. All other spaces need the host's approval first, and they'll reply within 24 hours.
Secure end-to-end
Requests, acceptance, Stripe payment and the bond hold all happen inside the ærspace portal.
Fair cancellations
100% refund of the venue fee 14+ days out, 50% at 7 to 14 days, 0% under 7 days. The bond hold is always released on cancellation.
